MEET THE MUSICIANS

BASS PAUL J. CINQUE

P.J. Cinque, double bassist, is in the final year of his undergraduate studies at the Juilliard School. A graduate of Juilliard’s Pre-College program, he has studied with Homer Mensch, Timothy Cobb and Albert Laszlo. Principal Bassist for the Juilliard Orchestra’s 2008 tour to China, he has performed in major venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Beijing Concert Hall, and the Shanghai Grand Theatre.

A committed chamber musician, P.J. recently participated in Denmark’s 2008 Thy Chamber Music Festival, where he worked with cellist Morten Zeuthen, pianist Daniel Blumenthal and violist Máté Szücs. In October, 2008, P.J. collaborated with the classical/improvisation trio, Time for Three, in the Kennedy Center’s fifth anniversary of the Conservatory Project.

A recent addition to the Chamber Orchestra of New York, P.J. has also been a member of the New York Sinfonietta Ensemble and Mid-Atlantic Symphony Chamber Players.
